Marko Dimitrijevic is chairman and founder of Volta Global. The private investment group maintains investment activities in venture capital, private equity, real estate, and public markets and is guided by its permanent capital base. After more than 35 years of investing and entrepreneurial experience, Marko founded the transformational investment group Volta Global and ensures that it is open-minded, future focused and flexible.
In 2015, Marko started to expand into the real estate development market and, together with his team, has developed more than 3 million square feet of property for multifamily units, hospitality assets and self-storage.

During the earlier part of his career, Marko managed large securities portfolios as Senior Vice President for the Fortune 500 company, Triangle Industries and its successor, Trian Group. In 1990, he then went on to create his own investment firm and built the company from one with an initial $8 million in assets to one with over $3 billion in AUM and more than 50 employees. From 1995 to 2015, the firm was based in both Miami and Singapore and managed.
Marko was born in Switzerland. He attended the Faculty of Business and Economics (HEC) at the University of Lausanne in Switzerland, acquired Swiss citizenship in his early 20s, and then earned an MBA from Stanford University. Marko is fluent in English French, Spanish, Serbian/Croatian, and Portuguese, with proficiency in Italian and German.
His commitment to due-diligence and field research make Marko Dimitrijevic a trailblazing investor in high-growth companies and markets around the globe. He has invested in over 150 countries, including 120 emerging or frontier markets, and was one of the earliest Western investors in China, Russia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and Saudi Arabia.
In his creative time, Marko Dimitrijevic seeks to capture the vibrant wonders of the world as an award-winning photographer. Armed with a camera since his teenage years, Marko honed his photography skills in the field during his extensive travels throughout his career in finance. Marko’s photography has been published in numerous magazines including Alert Diver, American Photo, Islands, Seacam, and Showboats International. In addition, Marko has published a wildlife photography book together with photographer and friend Amos Nachoum. Called BIG, the reference book published by the teNeues publishing house includes exquisite photography and focuses on giants of the animal kingdom.
Marko currently resides with his family in Miami, Florida.
